The Army is quick to point out that although the M10 looks like a miniature tank, it is not in fact a light tank. The M10 firing its 105-millimeter gun during trials, 2022. Both Bookers were killed in action, and the Army states that the M10 is an “infantry assault vehicle that will provide protection and lethality to destroy threats like the ones that took the lives of these two Soldiers.” The Army is set to buy 504 vehicles by 2035. Booker, who received the Distinguished Service Cross for actions during Operation Iraqi Freedom.
